Shiillong, Oct 5: Former MLA Ardent Basaiawmoit has launched a new political party christened Voice of People Party (VPP), on Tuesday.
Announcing the launch of the party, Basaiawmoit said the focus will be on clean politics and governance as there is a call for change from all quarters.

“There is a craving for a change and we hope that this party will not fail. There is insecurity, anger and frustration among people so we have high hopes that the new party will not fail’, Basaiawmoit said.
