Shillong, Dec 7: The state BJP has acknowledged the contribution of the party and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for getting Geographical Indication (GI) tag for Lakadong turmeric and laying of optical fibre cable across the state from March next year.

Chief Minister Conrad Sangma had announced about the GI tag for Lakadong and the fibre plan on December 4.
Following this, the BJP took to social media to popularise the image of the BJP ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
