Shillong, Aug 26: Contrary to media reports, the police and the BSF in Meghalaya said they have no information about the death of Ishak Ali Khan Panna, the forner general secretary of Chhatra League, the student wing of Awami League.
Media reports had said the student leader died in Meghalaya after fleeing from Bangladesh.
The awami league leaders are on the run after their supremo and former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was ousted.
According to news reports, a relative of Panna said the latter slipped from a ‘hill in Shillong’ and died of heart attack while another relative got information that he entered Meghalaya through Tamabil in Sylhet close to Dawki.
However, the police chiefs of both West and East Jaintia Hills and the BSF said they have no information regarding the matter.
