Shillong,Feb 28: The West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Ram Singh on Monday said he has already forwarded the letter of resignation of GHADC CEM Rakesh Sangma to the district council affairs department.
Rakesh resigned from the post on Sunday evening.

The secretary of GHADC on Monday wrote to the commissioner and secretary, district council affairs department through the West Garo Hills deputy commissioner regarding the resignation of Rakesh.
The resignation follows a series of protest unleashed by the pressure groups which the NPP consider as politically motivated.
