Shillong, July 25: One more NPP MLA was appointed as advisor to Chief Minister Conrad Sangma after Thomas Sangma ( NPP), Ernest Mawrie and AL Hek (BJP) and Lambor Malngiang (Independent) were appointed in the same post.
In a statement issued on Monday, the state government said Gigur Myrthong, MLA was appointed as advisor to the chief minister with perks and facilities under Category “A+” with effect from July 15 as specified in finance department’s O.M.No.FEM.44/2003/Pt.II/155 issued on September 20, 2010.

The government had in 2020 appointed NPP leader Donkupar War as the political advisor to the chief minister.
Another political advisor is UDP leader Allantry Franklin Dkhar.
