The bar associations are demanding the removal of the advocate general, who had commented during a hearing that the legal fraternity failed to protect law interns and women lawyers following the alleged molestation of an intern by a senior advocate.

On Tuesday, the lawyers had met the Chief Justice and the Law Minister.

After the meeting, the lawyers’ delegation said they will apprise the matter to other members before taking a final decision.
