Shillong, May 28: The state government has permitted international border trade and export activities.
This was decided in a review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma.

Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong announced the decision to open the border trade on Friday.
Later, the members of Meghalaya International Exporters Chamber of Commerce(MIECC) thanked the state government for considering their request for the resumption of international trade.
“We assure the government that all MIECC exporters will adhere to the protocols and standard operating procedures,” said Dolly Khonglah, secretary of MIECC.
