Shillong, Jan 28: The High Court of Meghalaya has dismissed a petition by GHADC CEM Benedic Marak (in picture) challenging the no-confidence motion against the executive committee led by him, fixed by the Governor on Saturday.
The single bench headed by Justice HS Thangkhiew on Friday ruled that there are no reasons to interfere or cause any delay in holding the no-confidence motion in as much as the entire exercise is part and parcel of a democratic process and it also strengthens democratic values.
