Shillong, April 18: UDP candidate Synshar Lyngdoh, who filed his nominations on Tuesday for the adjourned poll in Sohiong, said he is the right replacement of his uncle HDR Lyngdoh who passed away prior to the just concluded Assembly polls.
Speaking to reporters after filing the papers, Lyngdoh said his uncle HDR was a popular figure and a legend in the state.

“It is a big loss to the family, to the constituency and the state. I am his replacement to carry forward his works”, he said.
According to the candidate, the elected representative should be a lawmaker and not a mere MLA as the duty of the MLA is to make important laws for the overall improvement of the people and the state.
