New Delhi, Nov 25 (UNI): The Lok Sabha on Monday was adjourned till Wednesday after an uproar by Opposition members demanding discussion on Adani and Manipur issues.
As soon as the House reconvened at noon, members from the Opposition started raising slogans and demanding discussions on Adani and Manipur issues.
There will be a special session of both houses on Tuesday on the occasion of Constitution Day.
After the House reconvened, amid ruckus Samajwadi Party’s Dharmendra Yadav was heard saying that an FIR had been lodged against his party’s MP in connection with the violence in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. The Opposition members raising slogans started moving towards the well of the House.
Presiding Officer Sandhya Ray asked the Opposition members not to create a ruckus and allow the proceedings of the House. “You do not want the House to run?” the Chair asked. She made repeated attempts to maintain order in the House, but Opposition members did not listen, the Chair then adjourned the House till Wednesday, November 27.
