Shillong, Sep 19: The 7th edition of the Megha Kayak Fest will be held from October 10-12 at Umtham (Whitewater village) in Ri Bhoi.
Announcing this, the Meghalaya Canoe Association said in a media statement that the event has grown from “humble beginnings in 2016” and has turned into the largest extreme kayaking festival in India and all Asia.

The competitions will be held between 9 am and 5 pm each day.
“In the recent Paris Olympics three of the MKF alumni participated and two were medallists, with a gold and a bronze,” said the association.
The 2023 chapter witnessed an overwhelming response from the paddling community worldwide and the organisers are expecting an even greater participation this year.
