Shillong, Jan 17: The North Shillong legislator Adelbert Nongrum has started sit-in demonstration on Monday at Malki football ground pointing out the five point proposal to resolve them on the occasion of 50th year of statehood.
The protest will continue till January 22,10 am.

Last week, he had submitted a memorandum in this regard to Chief Minister Conrad Sangma but there was no assurance .
Nongrum wanted the government to resolve boundary dispute,shift the Harijan colony, revisit reservation policy to separate it for jobs and academic reservation, enhancement of upper age limit for government jobs and separation of Meghalaya state cadre for IAS, IPS, FS and others.
