“Even after fifty years, as a legislature, we have failed to come up with an enactment of a proper legislative act and law that will govern the reservation in appointment(s) within the state of Meghalaya and we still seek to rely on an old aged resolution, let aside revisiting the suitability of the said age old reservation policy, to the present day demography of the population,” he said.

The other demands include enhancement of upper-age limit for 5 years in appointment to various services/posts from the age of 27 in general category to 32 and from 32 for SC/ST to 37, creation of separate Meghalaya state cadre for IAS, IPS, IFS and others, relocation of Harijan Colony and solution to boundary issue.
