Mother’s School focuses on early childhood development

Shillong, Jan 9: Mother’s School at Sri Aurobindo Institute has taken initiatives for early childhood development.

The Transformative Early Childhood Development concept is executed through traditional learning methods incorporating brain development and integral education of Sri Aurobindo.

Integral education was advocated  By Sri Aurobindo- an Indian sage, educationist and philosopher.

Throughout the session, Mother’s School Program included activities and events that celebrated ‘All Faith Culture Diversity’ to develop a sense of global community and respect for other cultures.

The principal, children, staff and non-teaching staff dressed up in traditional attire to mark the event.

The event also highlighted yoga as a valuable tool for fostering physical and emotional wellbeing in early childhood education

Mother’s School curriculum included weekly themes such as inculcating kindness, self-awareness, zumba and yoga games

“We focus on the overall development of children we strive to include good social behaviour through interesting activities”,
said Farida Khan, educationist and principal of Mother’s School.

“It is our belief that if children enjoy learning in their formative years, they will be prepared and will look forward to aiming towards  health pillars- physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social development”, she said.
