MRSSA: Govt to start pilot project on data base

Shillong, Sept 13: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said in about two months’ time, the government will be able to start a pilot project on creation of a database of visitors and those who stay in rented places.

Speaking to reporters on MRSSA on Monday, the chief minister said he had a meeting in this regard and first presentation on the online registration system for the MRSSA was presented. There will be data of those who visit the state and those who rent houses and entry operators will be there in different police stations. The software will be online.

“We have asked for some more changes so that the system becomes more user-friendly and as soon as that is done, we plan to take up three localities on a pilot basis. So I expect in about a month’s time or two months time, we will be able to start a pilot project on creation of a database”, he said.

According to the chief minister, implementation of MRSSA has been happening and the task force in all the districts has been constituted.
