Shillong, Aug 12: The NPP-led MDA government was formed by PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah while Chief Minister Conrad Sangma is merely a puppet appointed by Delhi, according to Trinamool Congress leader Mukul Sangma.
He was addressing the gathering on Friday while constituting the Mawshynrut Block committee of the party in West Khasi Hills.
“Before 2018 elections, the NPP said they would not be with BJP; however we can see what happened after the elections. HSPDP, UDP, KHNAM also claimed that they would not stand by the BJP government but they all changed their stance. This is merely a repetition of their trickery”, he said.
Border issue
On the border issue, the former chief minister said, “Border issue is long pending since the formation of the state. ‘We have local village institutions like Hima and Nokma which the MDA government cannot disregard before taking any decision”.
