Shillong, April 19: Deputy Inspector General of Police (Eastern Range) Davis Marak said police are monitoring the extortion drive of the HNLC.
Marak admitted that in the past, several attempts to extort money were made by the HNLC but it has come down.

‘We want the businessmen to lodge complaints regarding the matter”‘ he said.
According to Marak, the arrest of many over ground workers has reduced the trend of extortion.
