Shillong, Aug 9: The Department of Posts, North East Circle in association with the department of Arts & Culture, and North East Philatelic Society organised an online philately exhibition to celebrate “Azadi Ke Amrit Mohotsav”. The exhibition was inaugurated on Monday by. Amitabh Kharkwal, Chief Postmaster General, North East Circle, Shillong. The exhibition will continue till August 15.
Many philatelists from North East states are participating in the exhibition and will be displaying varieties of postage stamps on themes like freedom struggle, India@75, progress of India and others.

Others present at the function included K.L. Nongbri, Joint Secretary, Department of Arts & Culture, Subhash Chandra Barik, Director of Postal Services, K.I.
