Shillong,Jan 3: Daughters of Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong and former MLA Jemino Mawthoh came forward to receive vaccination during the launch of the drive for 15-18 age group, on Monday.
Tynsong opened the initiative at Rynjah dispensary, in the city.
Among the first four to get vaccination were daughter of Prestone, 18-year-old Aroma Daisy Kharsyntiew ( third from left in picture), daughter of Jemino, Renee Christelle Nongrum (16), 17-year-old Benefedo Balajied Marwein ( second from left), son of Rynjah health educator Seria Marwein and Daril Bankit Nongrum (17), son of Rangbah Dong Umpling, David Rani.
The targetted group is over 2 lakh population and census to include more persons is on.
The beneficiaries, who are born before January 1, 2007, are eligible and they will have to bring school identity cards, ration cards, Aadhar cards, passports, bank passbooks or unique disability IDs.
Registration on www.cowin.gov.in was on from January 1.
On the spot registration will be available at designated vaccination centres from January 3.
