Rockski EMG inks deal with Jio Cinema for culinary show produced by Meghalayan Age Limited
Shillong, Mar 15: Rockski EMG, in collaboration with The Meghalayan Age Limited has announced the finalisation of a deal with Jio Cinema for the TV series “Hills on a Plate – Meghalaya.” The agreement comes after an initial contract with Disney+ Hotstar was redirected due to the platform’s acquisition by Jio Cinema.
Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Abode of Clouds, “Hills on a Plate – Meghalaya” is not a typical culinary show; it’s a unique blend of a chef competition and a travel extravaganza. The series aim to showcase the untouched beauty and diverse culinary treasures of Meghalaya, offering viewers an immersive experience into the cultural richness of the region.
Featuring a star-studded jury panel including Sarah Todd of MasterChef Australia, Ardahun Passah, and William Diengdoh, the show promises an exciting culinary journey. Hosted by Gordon Thabah and Abigail Pamei, the series introduce viewers to talented contestants Artet Kharsati, Ivan Suting, Daei Suchiang, Nambie Marak, Tanisha Phanbuh, Uttam Thangkhiew, and Adonijah Lyngdoh.
Before the official launch on the Jio Cinema platform, the public is invited to a special preview screening at the Lariti Auditorium on March 20 at 6 PM. The screening will see the presence of the entire cast and crew of the show along with many leading personalities in Shillong.
