Shillong, Nov 16: Two persons were killed and several others injured during a collision of two vehicles at Pommura, East Khasi Hills, on Tuesday morning
Acording to police, one of the vehicles (MLO1-7830 scorpio) belonging to Meghalaya Rural Livelihood Society Ltd and driven by Lurshai Syiemlieh of Lumparing Lum Dorbar, while proceeding from Shillong Sohryngkham side via NH-06 towards Jowai, collided with a tourist vehicle ( ML05L-8215- swift) at Pommura .
While one of the occupants of tourist vehicle, Markus Nongrum died on the spot, the driver of the vehicle, Kamni Siangshai ( 32 ), husband of Sumar Najiar of Khliehtyrshi Wah lama ,West Jaintia Hills, died later.
The seriously injured occupants of the vehicle, have been identified as Regan Kharlor ( 31) husband of Remidaka Dkhar of 3rd Mile Upper Shillong( Home Guard Volunteer posted at Madanrting traffic branch Shillong), Arki Salahe (30 ) son of P. Salahe, resident of Jowai Caroline and Mandakaru Dkhar (27) daughter of Sweetland Dkhar, resident of Ummulong Dong Mihngi.
