Shillong, May 19: The VPP president, Ardent Basaiawmoit has decided to resort to hunger strike from May 23 in protest against state government not discussing the need to review reservation policy.
The decision was taken after three VPP leaders walked out of the all-party meeting convened by the MDA-2 government as no discussion was held on review of reservation policy.

The government is firm on carrying on with roster system.
Earlier in the day on Friday, a large of number of VPP supporters gathered at the parking lot, additional secretariat supporting the stand of the VPP.
