Shillong, Jan 23: The state executive member of BJP, Pawan Sharma will meet BJP minister Sanbor Shullai to take up the issue of attack on non- tribals with the chief minister Conrad Sangma and home minister Lahkmen Rymbui.
The senior BJP leader said that a delegation of BJP leaders will also take up with Shullai safety issues in the context of the demolition of Kali idol recently.
“Such repeated crimes in the particular constituency clearly reflect that there is political conspiracy”, he said.
The BJP leader said there should be tighter security in the area as it is frequented by anti- social elements including drug addicts and alcoholics.
He said the government should insist for compulsory installation of CCTV in commercial areas and apartments.
Financial support should be given in the form of subsidized CCTVs as this can contain crime in the city, he said.
