Shillong, May 1: East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner SC Sadhu has sought an action taken report regarding the settlers at Lum Survey (in picture) from Defence Estate officials.
A meeting was held with the officials of the Defence Estate on Tuesday here.

The Deputy Commissioner said, We are seeking action taken report from them as the land belongs to the Defence Estate”.
Earlier, the HYC had sought the intervention of the state government to evict the ‘illegal’ settlers from the area.
The MeECL has also disconnected power supply in the area following the inspection by the HYC.
