Shillong, Jan 15: Two police personnel were suspended following the accidental death of a bike driver and injury to pillion rider after the escort vehicle of Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui hit the bike in East Garo Hills.
Police said armed branch sub inspector Kromith Marak and driver-constable Dimsrang N Sangma were suspended.

The suspension was after a case was registered under various sections of IPC, including 304 A of IPC (causing death by negligence).
The deceased has been identified Jaokmin Marak (bike rider) and Marchim Sangma -both from Dobu.
The incident was on January 13.
