Timjim Momin. President, MPYC said that families are finding it increasingly difficult to manage household expenses.

The continuous increase in fuel prices is making life more expensive for everyone, especially the poor, farmers, daily wage earners, youth, and the middle class.

According to Momin. the BJP-led central government has failed to provide relief to the common people. Every increase in fuel prices leads to higher transportation costs, rising prices of essential commodities, and greater financial hardship for ordinary citizens.
“What is equally concerning is the silence of the NPP-led Meghalaya government.

As an ally of the BJP, the NPP government has failed to raise the concerns of the people of Meghalaya and has chosen political convenience over public welfare.

“The people elected this government to protect their interests, not to remain silent while the cost of living continues to rise”, Momin said

“We are also deeply concerned about repeated examination irregularities and the NEET paper leak issue, which have shattered the hopes and aspirations of countless students. The future of our youth must never become a casualty of corruption, negligence, and administrative failure, he said.
The Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress believed that its protest is not merely against rising prices; it is a fight for justice, accountability, and the rights of every citizen who is being ignored by those in power.
The people of Meghalaya deserve answers. They deserve relief. And they deserve a government that stands with them, not one that remains silent in the face of their suffering, Momin said.
