Shillong,Jan 24: Governor Satya Pal Malik will not participate in the Republic Day celebrations at Polo Ground as he is still in isolation after testing positive for Covid-19.
Raj Bhavan informed tha the “At Home” function scheduled on January 26, at the Raj Bhavan premises was also cancelled due to the same reason.

The governor wished a happy Republic Day to all the citizens of the state.
The chief minister Conrad Sangma is also under quarantine due to Covid and it is yet to be known who will be the chief guest for the Republic Day function at Polo.
