Shillong, Sept 23: The CLP leader Mukul Sangma has called for course correction in the Congress while denying media reports that he had met Trinamool Congress general secretary Abhishek Banerjee in Kolkata.
Breaking silence on the differences within the Congress following the appointment of Shillong MP Vincent Pala as the new MPCC president, Sangma (in picture) told reporters on Thursday that he will air his grievances in the party forum and not with the media or other political parties.
To a question on any Khasi- Garo divide after the formation of the new MPCC team, Sangma stressed the unity of all the tribes and referred to the past MBoSE issue as a fall out of different perceptions.
He said in this context, politicians very often fail and the first job as one among the equals in the party for him is to ensure unity.
